Nino D'Ambra, the founder and co-owner of Nino D'Ambra Hair & Aesthetics, has been cutting hair for over 40 years. His journey began in Sicily, Italy, where he started his career as a barber before moving to Canada in 1985. Bringing his Italian charm with him, Nino honed his craft under the guidance of some of the finest professionals in the industry. He has continued to expand his knowledge and skills by travelling to Italy, New York, Chicago, and L.A. for further training.
Since opening Nino D'Ambra Salon, Nino has competed in numerous prestigious competitions, including Golden Curl, and most recently earned 3rd place in the Battle of the Barbers competition in Toronto. In addition to his salon work, Nino serves as an educator at Cappa Cosmetology School, where he has mentored many young talents who have gone on to carve successful careers in barbering. His expertise is not limited to male clients; Nino extends his skillset to male and female clientele, ensuring everyone leaves his chair feeling confident and polished.
Now, you can enjoy the exclusive experience of The Man Cave Barber Shop, a newly renovated space catering to the modern man, which Nino personally oversees. Beyond his professional life, Nino is passionate about travelling to Italy, enjoying good food and company, and is an avid soccer fan, exceptionally devoted to the Inter Milan soccer team.
